EATING IN GOTHENBURG

Food tradition in Sweden is very much the same to Norwegian one. They both share the love for flatbreads and crunchy breads, simple bread spreads, pickled herring, sweet pickled vegetables and a lot of international foods, like burgers or Asian.

The only difference is an afternoon sweet break that includes a cup of coffee or tea with some kind of freshly baked pastry, called fika.

GOTHENBURG

Sweden and Norway are close neighbors. They have been close for centuries, as they share not just geographical border, but also some political and cultural aspects. Many of Norwegians tend to go shopping on Swedish borders because Sweden being part of the EU has some different products and often more affordable prices, so this was my driving force when D suggested we spend Easter holidays in Gotheburg.
