I almost forgot this summer adventure when Debeli took me on a romantic ride on the lake.
EGGE GÅRD
Egge Gård is a fruit farm near a small village in Lier in Buskerud county, located some hour and fifteen minutes by train and bus from Oslo.
DACHAU
Dachau is a small medieval town some twenty kilometers from Munich. Although beautiful and with a long history, Dachau is not a place you would be proud of living in. The reason is the WWII concentration camp in its vicinity. But on the other hand, what city is spotless clean in its history?
BRATKARTOFFELN
We visited Munich this summer on our way to Zagreb. A friend of Debeli lives there for a couple of years now so we decided to kill two birds with one stone: visit her and a capital of Bavaria as well. I had a bunch of stuff planned to visit, but we did only two of that. Nevertheless, I’m satisfied. We really liked having our friends as guides, so we enjoyed their company and suggestions.
EATING IN TALLINN
Traditional Estonian cuisine is based exclusively on meat, potatoes and some fish but neighboring states had a great influence in preparation and use of traditional Estonian ingredients so it’s not uncommon for the Estonians to eat dried or salted fish or fried sausages.
THE TIMES WE HAD…IN TALLINN
The trip to Tallinn was unplanned and spontaneous to that extent that I had somewhat of a plan what to visit, but then I left that plan at home. Three days of casual sightseeing of the old town and plenty of food.
TRIPPA ALLA MILANESE
Everybody knows that Italians are big gourmets and food lovers, but only when it comes to their own, Italian, cuisine. Pizzas, pasta, fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, olive oil, garlic and various aromatic herbs (basil, rosemary, oregano) are just some of the few ingredients out of what you can prepare simple and fast meal.
TRIP ALLA MILANESE /// terza parte
The last day in Milan we visited a couple of historical destinations and an aquarium.
TRIP ALLA MILANESE // seconda parte
The second day in Milan started with a typical Italian breakfast and ended with a fancy dinner. Why? Well it was my birthday 😀 What did we eat you will read in a special post dedicated to Milanese cuisine.
TRIP ALLA MILANESE / prima parte
I do not know about you, but my birthday is always at the same time. In the end of January, which is not the best time to travel, but when you live in northern Europe then any trip to the south is more than welcoming. So, I booked us a trip to Milan, Italy.
