Hadeland Glassverk is one of Norway’s oldest industrial treasures founded in 1762 still operating.
It began as a small glass works producing everyday items like bottles and household glass for the local market evolving into a center of Scandinavian craftsmanship know for its simple yet decorative hand‑blown glass products.

The factory is located by the beautiful shores of Randsfjorden, just an hour away by car from Oslo.

On the weekends the factory opens its doors to the curious visitors offering a look behind the stage, and participation in creating your own piece of work.

We visited Hadeland glassverkery one warm sunny day in May with a purpose to blow my own glass cup which turned to be very interesting experience.
Guided by the crafted and skilled artisan worker, we learned how much patience and time goes into making just a simple glass (took an hour and a half for it to cool down) before heading for a pizza and play in the open area museum.
